Insider Bulletin: The Airbnb crackdown has arrived. Here's what it means
We break down the new rules and what they mean for Vancouver

What happened: The province has released their much-anticipated plan to crack down on short-term rentals across the province. Let’s get into it.
Limitations: Multi-use property businesses are banned. Homeowners can continue renting their primary residence if they have a secondary place or are just renting it while they are gone, according to Urbanized.
Registry: The province will create a provincial registry that all short-term rental platforms must use. Platforms will be required to remove listings that don’t follow the rules or are registered using a fake number. An enforcement division will ensure hosts are following the rules.
