I’ve written before about Nelson the Seagull, at 315 Carrall St. It’s a popular neighbourhood spot known more for its bread, though it does offer a range of baked goods, including croissants. So how does their French pastries hold up?

It was a bit scattered on the top, with different levels of crispiness. The real problem was it didn’t break apart as I liked. Each bite should release crispy bits, but this one did not. But it did have a better crunch than most.
