Bathroom renovations? What a new report can tell us the mayor and his ABC party

Breaking down the cost and complexities of a simple renovation

The Canadian Federation of Business (CFIB) has released a new report on the cost and complexities when it comes to renovating homes in Canada. Their data on Vancouver sheds a light not only on the challenges inherent in building in Vancouver but why governance is very important.

Background: The CFIB report breaks down the municipal costs of a $20,000 conversion of a powder room into a bathroom in 12 different cities. Their findings looked at how many permits were required — electrical, plumbing and so forth — and how much those permits cost in each city.
